Don Mains
Atlas Aero is fortunate to retain the services of pilot and mechanic Don Mains. Don has over 30 years of professional aviation experience, and he is well known in the flying community for restoring and maintaining classic airframes and engines.
He has taught aircraft maintenance at technical institutes, and his restored aircraft are owned by individuals and museums, alike. Of note, Don has built a Gee Bee Sportster from original design drafts, and this aircraft is part of the collection at the Weeks' Fantasy of Flight Museum in Florida. Don is the proud owner of a Beach Staggerwing and this aircraft can be seen on the ramp at Sanford Airport when Don flies in for a visit.
Don will be happy to answer any questions you may have concerning classic aircraft.
